956 Multi Service started in Rio Grande City in July 2024, when the business was registered with the State of Texas. Since then, customer reviews have described the same things again and again: technicians who know air conditioning, show up when promised and explain the work in plain words. The 956 in our name is the Valley’s area code, and it is where we live and work.
Our story so far
- July 2024: 956 Multi Service is registered as a Texas business based in Rio Grande City, Starr County.
- 2024–2025: The Facebook page introduces the company as “We are a Multi-Service Company, serving all of Starr County.” and grows to 544 followers.
- Summer 2025: The first Google reviews come in, starting with a customer whose A/C problem was diagnosed over the phone and whose new unit was installed the same day.
- July 2025: The first 956multiservice.com website goes online.
- 2025–2026: The Google Business Profile reaches 41 reviews, all five stars, and 92 photos, listed under hvac contractor, concrete contractor, painting.
- October 2026: This new website launches with a page for every service and community we cover.
What we do
Air conditioning is the core of the business: AC service and repair, A/C maintenance and unit washing, new unit sales with installation, and a lot of ductless mini-split work, from first installs to repairs and deep cleans. We handle manufacturer warranty checks and warranty repairs, and we have set up CoolBot-controlled refrigerated rooms for customers who need cold storage.
Because we are a multi-service crew, the work does not stop at the equipment. We pour concrete pads and small slabs, repair concrete, paint, take care of handyman lists and take on residential construction and improvement projects, whether that is a quick repair or a bigger renovation.
How we work
- We listen first. A good description over the phone often tells us what part to bring.
- We show you the problem. You see the failed capacitor, the clogged drain or the packed coil before deciding anything.
- We give options, not pressure. Repair versus replace is your call, with the trade-offs laid out.
- We leave it clean. Level pads, sealed wall holes, tidy line sets and no mess left behind.
Where we work
Our home base is Rio Grande City, and our days mostly run along US-83 between Roma and La Joya, with regular trips into McAllen, Mission and Edinburg and scheduled visits to Zapata County and the ranch counties to the north. See the full list of service areas or browse every HVAC service we offer.
