956 Multi Service is based in Rio Grande City, the Starr County seat, and most of our work happens within a short drive of town along US-83. That road is the spine of our service area: west through Garceño and Escobares to Roma and the Falcon Dam country, east past La Puerta, La Grulla and the Alto Bonito communities into western Hidalgo County. FM 755 takes us north toward the ranch country around San Isidro.

How distance from Rio Grande City shapes scheduling

Starr County (our home county): Rio Grande City, Roma, Escobares, La Grulla and the colonias and rural subdivisions around them are typically 5 to 30 minutes away. Same-day repair and install calls are most realistic here, and this is where we spend most days.

Western Hidalgo County: Sullivan City, La Joya, Peñitas, Palmview, La Homa and on to Mission, McAllen, Edinburg and Pharr run from about half an hour to just over an hour. We cover these on planned route days for installs, maintenance and booked repair windows, and squeeze in urgent calls when the day allows.

Farther out: Zapata County and the Falcon Lake communities, the ranch counties of Jim Hogg and Brooks, the mid-Valley and western Cameron and Willacy counties are covered by scheduled appointment, usually for installs, replacements, walk-in coolers and maintenance plans. The county pages below explain what that looks like.

Not sure whether your address is covered? Call and give us the nearest town or cross street. If we are not the right fit for your location, we will say so rather than book a visit we cannot keep.

Questions about where 956 Multi Service works

How far from Rio Grande City do you travel for HVAC work?

Most days stay inside Starr County, where Roma, Escobares, La Grulla and the colonias around Rio Grande City are roughly 5 to 30 minutes away. Western Hidalgo County runs from about half an hour at Sullivan City to roughly an hour at Edinburg and Pharr, covered on planned route days. Zapata, Jim Hogg, Brooks, Cameron and Willacy counties are covered by scheduled appointment.

Can you come the same day if I live outside Starr County?

Sometimes. Same-day repairs are most realistic close to Rio Grande City, along US-83 from Roma to La Joya. Farther east, in McAllen, Mission or Edinburg, urgent calls fit in when a route day has room; otherwise you get a booked window. If someone in the house is elderly, an infant or medically vulnerable, say so on the call.

My town is not listed. Do you still cover it?

Possibly. Pages for more communities in Zapata, Jim Hogg, Brooks, Cameron and Willacy counties are being added in stages, and the county pages already explain how those areas are scheduled. Call with your nearest town or cross street; if your address is outside what we can reach reliably, we will tell you plainly instead of booking a visit we cannot keep.

Which counties does 956 Multi Service serve?

Seven: Starr County, our home county, and Hidalgo County on regular route days, plus Zapata County around Falcon Lake, the ranch counties of Jim Hogg and Brooks, and western Cameron and Willacy counties by appointment. Each county page lists the towns that have their own page and the drive times from Rio Grande City.

Give us the nearest town and we will tell you how soon we can be there.
